Joyce Joann (Bohn) Nowacki, age 87, of Ripon, formerly of Princeton, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Eden Vista in Ripon. She was born on February 15, 1938, in the Township of Deerfield in Waushara County, WI, a daughter of Edward and Metta (Starks) Bohn.
Joyce graduated from Berlin High School in 1955. While working at Ripon Foods, she met her future husband, John Nowacki. They were married on August 1, 1959, at St. Michael’s Rectory in Berlin. Joyce later worked for the Handcraft Company in Princeton as a homeworker for many years. She was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Princeton and was also a member of the Ladies Aid. Joyce enjoyed sports and often watched football, baseball, basketball and of course, was always a Packer fan. She loved to bowl and twice appeared on television while bowling in Green Bay. She kept active and was often seen walking around town for the fresh air and exercise. Joyce also enjoyed music, reading, dancing, baking, and playing cards, especially cribbage. She always had pies or cookies in the freezer ready to thaw for guests.
Those Joyce leaves behind to cherish her memory are her 4 children, Curtis Nowacki, Lori (Tom) DeMoss, Mark (Kim) Nowacki, Joseph Nowacki; 2 grandchildren, Zoe (Zachary) Ware, Steven Burbank; 2 step grandchildren, Justin (Jessica) Parafiniuk, Travis Parafiniuk; 3 great grandchildren, Johnny, Mattie and Hannah Ware; 2 step great grandchildren, Ella and Ethan Parafiniuk; sister, Sandra Parks; brother, Emil (Janet) Bohn; 3 sisters-in-law, Patricia Bohn, Merle Bohn, Donna Mae Nowacki; brother-in-law, Carroll Schilf; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Metta Bohn; her husband, John Nowacki; 3 sisters, Bertha Wallace, Lois Erdmann, Arlene Schilf; 2 brothers, Martin Bohn, Arnold Bohn.
A memorial service for Joyce Nowacki will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 226 S. Clinton St., in Princeton. Rev. Philip Schupmann will officiate. Joyce will be laid to rest beside her husband in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Princeton.
